Energy Exchange: How to Activate Our Advocates: Empowering On-the-Ground Stakeholders to Share Their Stories
Wednesday, September 10, 2025 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM · 1 hr. (America/Los_Angeles)
Information
Between distrust and information overload, the stories our industry tells often fall on empty ears. The messenger matters, and there are plenty of spokespeople outside of the industry who can share the positive impact clean energy can have on their communities. Rural communities want to hear from local leaders in labor, education, business, and agriculture; these are the advocates we need to activate to share their stories. During this session, attendees will hear from various stakeholders who effectively engage various local communities. The audience will then break out into groups to brainstorm effective ways to identify and empower our on-the-ground advocates with the right information, messaging, tools, and support to tell compelling narratives that foster community buy-in among their peers.
