Untangling the Queue: Reforming Interconnection Across the Northeast
Tuesday, February 3, 2026 4:10 PM to 5:00 PM · 50 min. (America/New_York)
160AB, Level 1
Information
Across the Northeast, states are rapidly deploying solar and storage projects to help meet rising electricity demand. However, as project development accelerates, so does the strain on the interconnection process, causing delays and driving up project costs. Across the region, states, developers, and grid operators are deploying many different strategies, including cluster studies and self-performing interconnection work, to move projects through the queue. Panelists in this session will discuss strategies underway to streamline processes, reduce ratepayer costs, and ensure new clean energy projects come online faster and more efficiently.
