Energy Exchange: Setting the Record Straight - Addressing Clean Energy Misinformation

Energy Exchange: Setting the Record Straight - Addressing Clean Energy Misinformation

Tuesday, May 13, 2025 10:30 AM to 11:20 AM · 50 min. (America/Chicago)

Information

Clean energy is a proven safe, reliable, affordable and abundant resource in the Lone Star State. Despite this, we still face opposition from critical stakeholders and customers in the communities we serve that leads to project delays, cancellations, and setbacks. Some of this opposition is driven by inaccurate information, opinions, or at worse, competitive bias that undercut legitimate solutions and needs to be addressed in order to keep our industry and the energy transition moving forward. This session will provide an interactive, small group 'hands on' opportunity to learn and apply best practices to address misinformation that is slowing down clean energy deployment, from solar and storage, to EVs and other technologies that are critical to the communities we serve. Topics include: battery safety, consumer education, reliability, community engagement, and responsible land use.
