Information

IEEE 2800 is a step change expansion of the performance and capability requirements for transmission-connected inverter-based resources (IBRs) for most utilities/ISOs/RTOs. This session will share our experiences supporting utilities with interconnection commissioning that provides verification IBR facilities are designed and built in compliance with a utility's implementation of this young interconnection standard. Our verification process includes documentation review, site walkdown visit, power plant controller (PPC) demonstration, settings review, and commissioning testing. Lessons from years of interconnection commissioning of IBRs informed the process. Successes and challenges will be shared.
